Hi Ross,
looks pretty much like "396G mittelblau" (middle blue) metallic. 396 is the colour code, G stands for the manufacturer Glasurit. You will find a good overview of all paintures of the 60`s and 70`s on this site:
www.sterntwiete.mparschau.de/html/lack_metallic.html The examples of the 396 coloured cars may look a LITTLE BIT too dark there.

Thank you for the photo and web information. Your car is beautiful and I believe made even more beautiful because of the colour. I think it makes the Chrome and alloys stand out even more than normal (if that's possible!) Thank you so much for responding with the colour and paint code. interesting that you in Oz name a car "her": it is like the french do ("la voiture").
Or is it related to beloved old cars only?
