There is an excellent troubleshooting guide for air suspension issues at the Star Motors web site (
www.300sel.com) in the "Tech Docs" section (look for the tab at the top of the page).
Rebuilt valves have an iffy success rate in the rebuild process. Ones I have seen (and had myself) that have been rebuilt have up to a 35% failure rate.
I know that Neil Dubey of Star Motors has been working hard over the past couple of years to come up with new materials and techniques to eliminate rebuild failures. You might want to check with him (phone number is at the
www.300SEL.com site) to discuss what the current situation is with rebuilds.
With your rear going down, I also believe that it is MOST LIKELY your rear valve as the problem, though it possibly could be other things such as your lines.
Typically with the 6.3 the front valves tend to go out sooner because the engine heat "cooks" the o-ring seals inside them.
Good luck!
