A year ago I owned one two year old Mercedes R170, now I still have the R170 but also have a 280S (108), a 280SE (108), a 280SE 3.5 coupe (111) and a 280E (123)!!
The 280SE still has the original interior in quite good condition. On one of the door panels though the vinyl (brown colour) has stretched a bit over time and is a bit "wavy" in places. Is there anything one can do about this or it best just to leave it alone? If nothing can be done, any idea if one can buy a new replacment like the original for the vinyl?
On the same car, some of the wood trim around the windows has lost bits of the veneer (thin wood covering with the dark colour). Is there anywhere one can buy this wood veneer (just the covering) to refit? Also for the dashboard (some idiot cut the dashboard badly to fit a modern radio but the rest of the dashboard is good)

Concerning the door panels :

I would ask an upholsterer, it seems due to humidity the adhesives probably have separated. The seals are in good shape i assume, or is there any water leaking into the car ? On the back of the panels should be a foil, if it is missing the cardboard of the panel are taking up water.

New replacements are as far as i know not for sale anymore, sometimes on ebay but they are becoming rare items.
The wood trim can be fixed easily, take a look here www.sternschuppen.de/html/ws_holz2003.html and here www.sternschuppen.de/html/holzrestauration.html .

Maybe you get an Idea...

I don't think that the cut in the dashboard can be fixed, i fear you need a new one. Condition doesn't matter, see the links above.

But I can't tell you were to buy one, so maybe it would be possible to build some kind of frame, that covers the gap between the smaler original radio and the cut in the dashboard.
